Briefly, 11 and 11A were nestmates, Hansenne described them as being similarly bred to his winner of the 2nd National in 1894.  No.7 was uncle in blood to them.  No. 15H was a granddaughter of the 2nd National Winner.  All four were inbred to "Criquet" and "St. Vincent," bred in 1877.  What a nightmare to opponents of inbreeding, they have presented, even at that stage!  Chadwick mated 7 to 11A, 11 to 15H and winners quickly  followed direct from these mating's.

For the moment, we will skip 8 years and jump to 1903.  384 bred from 7 and 11A was better known as H.B.1: H.B. 2 was bred from 11 and 15H.  I have not her ring numbers, but she was always known as H.B.2, so it does not really matter.  (The ring number of H.B.2 was 393.03 J. McC)  H.B.1 and H.B.2 were to become famous as Highnam's stock pair parents of "8001" and "The Boss."
